Two Santa Fe Art Trifecta Festivals Place in Top Four of Month-Long National Vote

SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO, April 17, 2015: Two highly-regarded Santa Fe art festivals were voted in the top four of a national USA Today 10Best Reader’s Choice Award contest for “Best U.S. Art Festival.” The Santa Fe International Folk Art Market took the #1 honor today, while ART Santa Fe placed 4th—a major achievement given the split vote amongst loyal Santa Feans.

The Santa Fe International Folk Art Market and ART Santa Fe are two of the three festivals along with SITE Santa Fe that make up the “Santa Fe Art Trifecta” that occurs July 9th through the 19th this year.

The International Folk Art Market | Santa Fe is the largest event of its kind in the world. More than 150 master folk artists from 57 countries gather on Museum Hill in Santa Fe to sell their art, which includes jewelry, textiles, baskets, ceramics and more. ART Santa Fe is an established  international art fair of 15 years that brings some of the best contemporary and modern art from Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America to Santa Fe.

“Santa Fe is regarded throughout the world as one of most unique and distinguished art capitals,” said Randy Randall, Executive Director for TOURISM Santa Fe. “To have two separate events in the top five and one in First Place serves as strong recognition of our popularity, creativity and the true excellence of our festival artists, organizers, and volunteers.”
