Santa Fe Art Trifecta: 2014s Biggest and Most Dynamic International Event

The worlds art lovers will be the big winners at this summers Santa Fe Art Trifecta a remarkable confluence of three internationally important art events in ten days. July 10-20 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The result will be one of the largest, most diverse, and most respected art events anywhere.
Now in its second year, Santa Fe Art Trifecta is a visionary collaboration of three successful art organizations with the shared goal of establishing an unparalleled celebration of art. The International Folk Art Market, Santa Fe is a colorful outdoor event presented annually by the International Fol Art Alliance that brings master artists from many distant cultures to show and sell their handmade creations. ART Santa Fe is an established international art fair that features contemporary and modem art from the finest galleries in Europe. Asia, and the Americas. SITE Santa Fe, which established the first global contemporary art biennial in the United States, introduces a new and exciting biennial concept called SITElines: New Perspectives on Art of the Americas.
The ten-day Santa Fe Art Trifecta begins July 10-13 with ART Santa Fe and the International Folk Art Market Santa Fe. SITE Santa Fe follows closely behind, from July 17-20. The three organizations plan a joint marketing effort with prizes and giveaways aimed at bringing visitors from all over the United States and abroad. The three events are held in different parts of historic Santa Fe, each with its own art environment and personality.
• The International Folk Art Market Santa Fe, July 10-13: A global event with art, music. and food held on Museum Hill. This summer, more than 150 artists from 60 countries have been selected to travel to Santa Fe, many of them from remote and sometimes troubled communities. Sales make a vital difference to participants families, villages, and art collectives. while keeping invaluable art traditions alive
• SITE Santa Fe: re-imagines its prestigious biennial this year wi1h the first in a series of three biennial exhibitions focusing on contemporary art from the Americas. SITEIines 2014: Unsettled Landscapes brings together 45 artists and artist collaboratives ranging from Nunavut in northernmost Canada to Tierra del Fuego at the southernmost tip of South America. There will be both new and existing works, 13 new commissions, and several off-site installations. There will be an exciting series of events to kick off the exhibition July 17-19 with the public opening on July 19. SITE Santa Fe is located in the hip Santa Fe Railyard, a center for contemporary art galleries and art events, plus the outdoor Santa Fe Farmers Market, shops, restaurants. and breweries.
• ART Santa Fe, July 10-13: brings the glamorous world of international art fairs to historic downtown Santa Fe. Both emerging and established artists and galleries from around the globe are present. There are provocative installations and demonstrations and an array of contemporary and modem art to dazzle both the serious collector and the serious browser. There is a gala Vernissage (opening night party), and special keynote speaker, James Meyer, associate curator of modern art at the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. Visitors to the Santa Fe Art Trifecta can begin their ten-day art odyssey with the opening of ART Santa Fe Vernissage on Thursday, July 10, and the International Folk Art Market Santa Fe Opening Party on Friday, July 11. Then enjoy both ART Santa Fe and the International Folk Art Market Santa Fe throughout the weekend, July 12 and 13. Next, spend a few days enjoying spectacular mountain scenery and some of the best weather of the year in Santa Fe, plus museums galleries, a world-famous dining scene, shopping, spas and historic atmosphere. An array of innovative events for SITElines 2014: Unsettled Landscapes begins on Thursday, July 17, followed by the opening of the exhibition on Saturday, July 19.
Santa Fe has been known for more than a century as a center for art and artists. There are more than 250 galleries, and 13 museums representing a vast range of traditional, contemporary, and indigenous art. Santa Fe was the first city in the United States to be named to the worldwide network of UNESCO Creative Cities.
